While there is always going to be challenges, such as local government, neighbors, and education around cannabis, our love of cannabis and the opportunity to pave the way in an emerging industry always trumped those challenges and kept us moving forward. I don’t think anyone who has successfully opened an operation in MA would say it has been as easy road. That was the key to it all.Īs a cannabis entrepreneur, adversity is the name of the game. But I stuck with our plan, never let anything stop us from moving forward. We were the first cannabis retailer to apply in Haverhill and although the voters backed legalization, the elected officials weren’t exactly thrilled about it and we had immediate opposition from business neighbors.
